Hi all, I use a media center computer to control my TV. The computer plugs into the back of my TV via VGA port. When I turn on the computer, the TV turns on and when I turn off the computer the TV turns off. Now I need to buy a new TV, but none of the new ones have VGA ports. My computer also has an HDMI port, but with my old TV when plugged in via HDMI instead of VGA, the TV would not turn off when I turned the computer off, which is a major problem for my setup. So my question is, are there any new TVs that do have VGA input and if not, how do I find a TV that will turn on and off automatically via HDMI input without having to use the remote? I have very specific reason for having my computer control the TV that can't be replicated by a smart TV, roku, chromecast, ect., so please don't suggest alternatives. I'm only interested in having a new TV power on and off from the computer. I'm looking at the 50-55" size, so a monitor is not a viable solution. For more details: Brand Reveal video
